APEM Sponsor London Marathon Runner

Ian Halliday of Lombard Aviation Finance – the company in charge of funding APEM’s aerial equipment and aircraft - approached in early March to ask for sponsorship for his attempt at the Virgin London Marathon on the 17th of April this year. APEM agreed to sponsor Ian a total of £100 on his completion of the event.

Ian was running for SENSE – a charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deaf and blind. His aim was to raise a grand total of £1,250 for the charity – which would help SENSE continue doing the amazing work they do now. We are very pleased that Ian did finish the race – in a very respectable time of 3 hours 29 minutes and 22 seconds. He has also managed to raise an impressive grand total of £1,759.40 plus £1,500 also donated from Lombard! That’s an amazing amount raised so well done to Ian for all his hard work and training. We're sure the amount raised for the charity will make up for any aching bones he may still have now after the event!
