Cash for Kids

In the run up to Christmas, APEM's Dr Lindsey Defew encouraged staff in the Edinburgh Office to help support the charity, 'Cash for Kids' after hearing an appeal on her local Radio Station. The Cash for Kids Christmas appeal aimed to ensure all local children living in extreme poverty received a present at Christmas.

Lindsey and the staff at the Edinburgh Office managed to raise £36 altogether and APEM matched this to give a total of £72. Lindsey was then able to buy a good selection of Christmas presents for children in the local area.

'Cash for Kids' is an independent charity operating in 20 local areas across the UK set up to support sick and underprivileged children in local communities.

Well done to Lindsey for coming up with the idea for the Edinburgh Office to make donations and thank you to all the staff that got involved and made a donation, I am sure the presents were greatly received by the local children on Christmas morning!
