With complementary skills and experience, APEM and ESI have a longstanding working relationship and have worked on a number of frameworks and projects together. The companies will be the sole providers on the framework, which will cover a range of activities.
Among these are the development of schemes to address potential environmental damage resulting from abstractions, Water Framework Directive Schemes and environmental monitoring and reporting to support the company’s drought plan.
Other work includes abstraction licensing, abstraction reform, catchment management and environmental assessment of surface water intakes.
Dr David Bradley, APEM’s head of hydro-ecology, said: “This appointment builds on the successful delivery of environmental projects for South Staffs Water in AMP 5 and extends the industry leading partnership of APEM and ESI.”
