APEM can generate accurate 3D models of project areas from high-resolution aerial imagery. The 3D models can be used for a variety of purposes from volume calculations to linear route mapping. The ability to pan around the environment – zooming into specific features of interest for a closer look – is particularly appealing for stakeholder engagement.

As well as the flyovers, we can generate accurate elevation data from the imagery and reconstruct the landscape of the project area in three dimensions. The elevation data can then be used to perform a number of three dimensional calculations on objects and features, such as height, slope, aspect and volume. In addition, the original imagery can be provided as an accurately georeferenced high resolution ortho-mosaic.

All of this is possible from a single flight and our data is fully compatible with GIS.
