Large-Scale Power Stations
APEM have conducted a number of projects for large coastal power plant developments including EIAs. Survey work often includes intertidal and subtidal sampling for fish using a wide range of sampling equipment and diverse techniques. Techniques include beam, otter and pelagic trawling as well as specifically designed intertidal sampling devices. EIAs have involved detailed assessments of fish impingement and entrainment, modelling of thermal plumes and consideration of all aspects of construction, operation and decommissioning.
