What can we offer?

We have an experienced team of aquatic botanists, each with their own individual specialisms, who are all accredited to Joint Nature Conservation Commitee (JNCC) and Environment Agency standards. All our aquatic botanists are also accredited in the River Habitat Survey methodology (v2003).

APEM also has significant expertise in the control and management of invasive and alien species having worked in the UK and abroad with some of the world's most invasive aquatic weeds.

The teams nationally recognised expertise in macrophyte ecology is frequently called upon to assess potential impacts from abstraction, nutrient enrichment and recreational activity. Our botanical surveys are supported by APEM BIoLabs - Europe's leading, state-of-the-art aquatic biological laboratories.

Why choose APEM?

Our scientists have developed innovative, yet practical site management strategies for a wide range of waterbodies.
