Assessment of Drought Permits on Cumbrian Lakes
We carried out a large multi-disciplinary project to identify potential impacts of drought permits on Windermere and Ullswater and their associated river systems. We undertook walkover baseline surveys of the Rivers Eamont and Leven to identify macrophyte species and numbers. This work was part of an integrated study considering a variety of baseline aquatic data including macrophyte abundance, lamprey populations, fish habitat and water flow.
