Macrophyte Link to Spined Loach Populations
APEM conducted macrophyte surveys to investigate links between plant proliferation and spined loach populations in the lowlands of Eastern England. This is part of an investigation into the impact of land management practices such as weed cutting on spined loach populations. Our studies are informing a conservation strategy for this endangered species.
