Environmental Impact Assessment for Hydro Electric Plants
APEM has undertaken several environmental assessments of the potential impacts of new and existing Hydro Electric Plants throughout the UK. We have the capability to undertake comprehensive baseline surveys covering all aspects of aquatic ecology and assess all potential aquatic ecology impacts with UK experts on flow depletion. Our specialists have assessed mortality rates for fish during turbine passage for several schemes and we regularly advise on the selection of fish screening and turbine type.
