Environmental Impact Assessments of Offshore & Onshore Wind Energy Schemes
APEM has undertaken numerous environmental assessments of potential impacts on the aquatic environment of UK wind farm developments. Desk based impact assessments are regularly supported through APEM-led field based ecological investigations covering fisheries, macroinvertebrates, phytoplankton, diatoms, zooplankton and macrophytes. APEM Remote Sensing undertake regular aerial photographic surveys at windfarm sites throughout the UK for bird population assessment. APEM BioLabs analyse numerous marine and freshwater samples for wind energy schemes each year.
