meet the ecological EU Water Framework Directive (WFD)
monitoring requirements. Widely described as the most
significant and revolutionary addition to water legislation
for a generation, the WFD has significant implications for all
commercial activities that affect the aquatic environment.
- Working exclusively in the aquatic environment for over 18
years, APEM have been associated with undertaking high level,
quality controlled biological analysis of aquatic samples.
Our external AQC results are recognised as industry leading.
- From our superbly equipped and managed laboratory in
Manchester, our highly trained staff annually identify and test
several thousand macroinvertebrate samples and perform the
routine assessment of numerous diatom and plankton samples.
