Tidal Lagoon Monitoring
We are involved in a five-year study of a tidal lagoon in Anglesey. The tidal doors are degenerating and need replacing. This project is monitoring macrobenthic communities before, during and after the replacement. Seasonal macrophyte surveys are ongoing in addition to quarterly sediment Eckman grabs for macroinvertebrate analysis. All species are being identified to species level where possible and enumerated.
