Pollution Incident Callout
APEM provides a rapid response call-out service in the event of pollution incidents for a range of clients including water companies, the Environment Agency and local authorities. A rapid response is essential to assess the extent of the problem and whether interventions such as aeration, hydrogen peroxide or fish evacuation can alleviate the situation and prevent unnecessary fish deaths. We also offer an independent evaluation on the scale and extent of pollution for use by prosecution or defence in subsequent court cases. APEM has a number of call-out contracts with water companies allowing our regional laboratories to respond immediately.
