About the role

You will work within a team of scientists with cross-cutting expertise in ecology, water quality, natural capital, hydrology and geomorphology to deliver a range of projects for the UK environment / conservation agencies, the water and energy industries and supporting services.

The ideal candidate will have desk and field-based experience, particularly in relation to water quality investigations, and/or experience of catchment studies, water quality modelling, natural capital, ecosystem services, GIS mapping or WFD assessments. Knowledge of relevant UK legislation, government plans (e.g. Defra’s 25 year plan), the water industry, dealing with large complex and varied datasets and water quality monitoring would also be beneficial to assist in undertaking high quality, technical projects which will deliver the needs of our clients.

The production of high quality reports, including monitoring studies, modelling reports catchment risk assessments, natural capital assessments and water cycle studies will be a key feature of the role.

You will be qualified to the minimum of BSc. level in a relevant discipline with evidence of experience. Whether you are an applicant with academic, regulatory, consultancy or third sector experience you will need to demonstrate your ability to apply your skills in a commercial consultancy context through experience of managing projects and dealing with people effectively and professionally.
