Natalie Tulett - Lab Scientist

My name is Natalie Tulett and I started working for APEM this November. I am based in the Dorset office working as a Marine Laboratory Scientist. I am currently sorting marine and estuarine samples, extracting fauna for identification with the hope to enhance my taxonomy skills and further my knowledge of this niche market sector.
When I came for my interview in Dorset earlier in the year I was impressed with the range of aquatic data acquisition services that the company offers clients and had experienced nothing but positive comments about APEM from other industry professionals.
I graduated this year from Southampton Solent and studied a BSC (Hons) in Geography with Environmental Studies. Throughout my second year at university I worked part time for SeaStar Survey in Southampton, baseline processing marine and estuarine samples. I moved to EMU (Portsmouth) for my third year, until my dissertation started. For my final year project I studied the impact of Fawley Oil Refineries hot water outfall on benthic invertebrates.
I have a keen interest in tropical fish as well as all things fluffy. I spend most of my weekends in the summer in the New Forest, camping and cycling.
