Tyne Rivers Trust Salmonid Habitat Mapping

As part of their ongoing work to manage and improve the Tyne catchment, the Tyne Rivers Trust asked APEM to acquire high resolution aerial photography of c. 200km of major rivers within the watershed. We used the FIS to generate grain size, depth and salmonid habitat maps for two hundred kilometers of the Tyne catchment, data which will give the Tyne Rivers Trust a new and unique insight into the geomorphological and ecological regime of the catchment.
