Freshwater Biology has been the core of APEM’s business for over 20 years and recent expansion in project portfolios, driven largely by the Water Framework Directive (WFD), has placed APEM as the UK’s leading provider of Freshwater Biological services. APEM is at a crucial stage in its development as a company and we are therefore recruiting enthusiastic Freshwater Biologists at all levels and in all offices to make their mark and contribute to long-term and sustainable growth.
APEM undertakes biological investigations in all freshwater habitats, supported by a large and experienced field team, quality-controlled and accredited laboratories, expert statistical analysis and reporting, and first rate project management.
Our multi-disciplinary, integrated approach allows us to tackle a wide range of projects UK-wide, which is entirely tailored to meet the requirements of the WFD and the needs of public and private sector clients. Freshwater biological investigations include water resource investigations, pollution investigations, climate change studies, EIAs, water quality assessments, river rehabilitation and habitat management. Project teams have developed cross-cutting expertise which integrates biological, physical and chemical elements of the water environment, allowing Freshwater Biologists to work with APEM’s Geomorphologists, Hydrologists, GIS specialists and aerial surveyors to deliver our client’s requirements.
APEM is synonymous with delivering practical, client-focussed solutions to aquatic environmental problems, based on robust science and the application of Freshwater Biology. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated Freshwater Biologist to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company at a key stage in its development.
The role you undertake within the team will be dependent upon your experiences and position as highlighted in the grades / job descriptions featured on the vacancy page. |
