We have an exciting opportunity to join APEM’s efficient and well organised tender team as a contracts administrator. This is a crucial role with responsibility for identifying new opportunities for the company, and getting involved in organising our responses accordingly.

It is process-driven and constantly fast paced, assisting with the preparation of high-quality professional tender submissions, including co-ordinating, integrating and editing content to prepare a final version.

About the role

Main duties:

  1. Undertake a basic review of all of APEM’s contractual agreements as they are proposed for the new tenders and contracts,
  2. Assist with sign-off and signature by our Directors on contractual documentation,
  3. Maintain a tracking system for APEM’s contracts,
  4. Complete company information on our standard contractual templates such as Non-Disclosure Agreements and Sub-contracts with attention to detail and to an enforceable standard.
  5. Co-ordinate contract negotiations for low and medium risk contracts and ensure that discussions about any comments regarding these from our clients and sub-contractors are clearly communicated and resolved.
  6. Where bespoke reviews or text is required for contractual clauses, liaise with senior contract staff to provide draft text.

There will also be a general administration aspect to the role which will include: being the first point of contact for the company by answering, managing and responding to incoming company calls, managing staff travel requests and general office administration duties, support to the rest of the tenders team at busy times.

About you

You will preferably have a degree in a relevant subject, or some relevant administration work experience. You will also be efficient and like to use your initiative to delve a little deeper to uncover accurate details.  Excellent IT and communication skills are a must.  Experience in contracts administration specifically is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.  You need to thrive in a fast-paced, process-driven environment and be able to co-ordinate documentation with precision.  Ideally you will have an interest in environmental issues, and a passion to work for a company that is working to make a difference to create a better world for the future.
